While it is possible to get last minute deals on quality cheap accomodation in Brisbane’s CBD- there are usually plenty of people vying for the same great deals and it is possible to miss out on accommodation in Brisbane altogether if you leave your planning too late.

While central CBD and Southbank accommodation offers the convenience of being close to attractions such as the Brisbane River, Southbank Parklands, the “Gabba” and Storey Bridge- staying in the CBD and paying exorbitant amounts is not essential. Simply knowing a little bit about Brisbane’s inner city suburbs and public transport system can save you bucket loads and may even allow you to discover parts of this great city few people know exist!
